    Talking about Lonely Baloney Me

    Lonely Baloney Me

Long distance relationships often torment us with this sinister sentiment called lonesomeness. Often enough, we assume that our relationship is not as tough as those who can meet up anytime and anywhere. I am one of those types of populace whose feelings repeatedly get mixed up.There are pros & cons of being away from each other. There are times when it made me stronger and there are times I felt so delicate inside that I almost break down and give up. People often quote that “Distance make the heart grow fonder”. Yeah, yeah. Seen it, been there!

Throughout our 6 years into this relationship, we’ve encountered various situations. Some are very sweet. Do you know when you daydream about something nice, & you didn’t realize that you were actually smiling to yourself until you realized that you were actually smiling alone? Yes, it happened to me too. Reminisce the sweet stuff is nice, so sweet that you wish it’ll keep replaying it in your dreams. What about the bad & sour ones? Avoid them? Learn from them? Or delete them from our memory? We always choose the simplest way, avoid them.

Women are always intricate in their own subtle way. Men will go haywire when it comes to dealing with us. I came across this book (which I actually bought it), Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus – Together Forever.  I have not finish reading it but I learnt some simple things......We are always caught up in a dilemma of miscommunications and misinterpretations, especially women.

Let me take for an instance, when men says something like “Can you leave me alone?” after a stress day at work, wanting to spend some quiet time thinking. Women, on the other hand will start contemplating whether he can’t talk to me, or he don’t love me anymore, or sometimes, we may even think that he’s having an affair!

What I know right from within, communication is the principal of any relationship. It’s how we speak to each other, with respect and love. I truly believe, distance won’t make any relationship any lesser from the rest if we have great communication between the two souls.
